WEB APPS
Winter 2025/26I started making web applications to use while playing dice games with family. I started utilizing LLM AI tools to learn more about web development and to provide a good base for these apps. While working with these relatively early LLMs I have found that they make many mistakes and forget to preserve fixes from previous prompts. A human coder's touch seems neceasary to actually make a functional app that fully realizes a vision. However, these LLM-generated HTML files have been great starting blocks to reduce upfront effort.
With assistance from LLMs I have found that I am able to quickly implement web apps for quality of life improvements. I have even been able to code functional web apps and put them online, for others to use, all from my phone.
The web apps I have made so far are score trackers for Qwixx (a dice game), Farkle (another dice game), and 5 Crowns (a card game). I am also working on web apps for playing a version of Deal or No Deal online and for rolling digital dice. -
THIS WEBSITE
Summer 2019I started building this website in June 2019. This page is intended to showcase my projects online as a sort of blog. It helped improve my web development skills as well promote myself to find a job. The images below are what I came up with as logos for myself.

IEEE WORKBENCH
August 2019During my junior year I became heavily involved with UK IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), especially the robotics team. The big problem throughout the year is we had no easy way to transport and store our tools and materials. So I designed a custom workbench that would fit our needs and be very flexible for any future needs. It has 3 drawers, a lot of pegboard space, a vice, castors for mobility, and it's modular! It comes apart so we can take it to robotics competitions if we want to. Then I spent most of August 2019 building the actual thing. I still need to do a few small things to it, but it is now at UK and being used!

POKEBALL
Spring 2018This is a novelty cartridge holder for my Nintendo Switch games. I designed it myself using Autodesk 123D. Some springs are included in the design to make the push button functional: it pops the lid open! I published the files on my Thingiverse page if you'd like to make one yourself.

SNAKE GAME
Spring 2018
Updated: Jan. 19, 2026A project for my embedded systems course (CPE 287) of sophomore year. I worked with a friend, Devon Schleyer, to make a snake game running on a TI Launchpad microcontroller. It's got a 8x8 bi-color LED matrix, a controller, and a cool laser-cut wooden enclosure. Here's a video we made about it. (Video missing as it was tied to my UK account, now deleted. Will re-upload.)

EAGLE PROJECT
June 15, 2013
Updated: Jan. 19, 2026Each Scout must lead a service project as their final milestone on the path to the highest rank of Eagle Scout. My project added durable seating around a local track and field in the form of a picnic table and 3 park benches.
Thanks to generous donations the project was even better than expected as I was able add landscaping and plaques (from Eagle Sign & Design, now BSG,) commemorating donors. I gained valuable experience in project management, approval processes, effective fundraising, installation of permanent fixtures, resource planning, creating a streamlined workflow (invloving team assignments and visual job guides), provisioning, and team-building. My wonderful friends of Troop 71 provided the muscle to bring the my project to fruition, and the memories to last a lifetime.
This was my first big project. It went smoothly because of my efforts, and I'm glad it is still being enjoyed today. My brother completed his Eagle Project during the same year and we both achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; we're the two youngest Eagles from our troop and we remained active until college. I'm grateful to my time in Scouting and thankful for the friends, experiences, and adventures it brought me.
